Studio/Artist: Steweird.com/Rayman
By purchasing a commission from Steweird.com, you (the “Client”) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure a professional, transparent, and creative partnership between the Client and Rayman (the “Artist/Designer”).

1. The Tiered Agreement System
Design Services: Refers to professional creative services including, but not limited to, logos, layouts, and vector-based assets.
Tier 1(Small/Simple): Agreement is formed via a mandatory checkbox before going to checkout. Your submitted commission form serves as the Work Order.
Tier 2(Mid-Range): Agreement is formed via a Work Order & Agreement  provided by Rayman. A non-refundable Service Deposit is required to initiate the project.
Tier 3(Large/Commercial): Agreement is formed via a formal Project Proposal & Contract (which contains the Contract for Creative Services).

2. Payments & Tax (WA State Nexus)
Currency: All prices are in USD.
Sales Tax: As a Washington State business, Steweird.com collects sales tax based on the Client’s location (destination-based sourcing).

Service Deposit: A non-refundable “Service Deposit” (25% of the total project cost) is required to secure the project on the Artist’s calendar and cover initial administrative and pre-production labor.  No work will begin until the Service Deposit has been paid in full.

3. Workflow & Revisions
The Process: For Illustrative Art,
the workflow is:Inquiry ➔ Deposit ➔ Sketch ➔ Line Art/Value ➔ Final Color & Delivery.
The Process: For Design Services,
the workflow is:Inquiry ➔ Deposit ➔ Concepts → Drafts → Final Vector/Design.

Included Edits: The project includes up to three (3) rounds of minor edits during the designated sketch and drafting phases.
Out-of-Scope Changes: Major structural adjustments requested after a milestone phase has been explicitly approved by the Client (e.g., changing a character’s pose after the line art is finalized) will incur a Revision Fee starting at 25% of the total project cost to account for the extra labor.

Artistic Style: The Client hires the Artist for his specific artistic style. The Artist will work closely with the Client’s references but will not be required to mimic another artist’s exact style.

4. Kill Fees & Cancellations
If a project must be canceled before completion, the following rules apply depending on who initiates the cancellation:
Client-Side Cancellation: If the Client cancels the project, a tiered “Kill Fee” schedule applies to compensate the Artist for labor completed up to that point:
Pre-Sketch: 25% of total cost (Service Deposit is forfeited).
Post-Sketch (Before final rendering): 40% of total cost.
Work-in-Progress (Coloring/Rendering): 75% of total cost.
Final Delivery: 100% of total cost. No refunds are issued once final high-resolution files have been delivered.

Artist-Side Cancellation: In the rare event that the Artist must cancel the project due to unforeseen emergencies or illness, a refund will be issued to the Client for any uncompleted stages of the project, and all usage rights for incomplete work will remain with the Artist.

5. Communication & Project Timelines
Client and Artist communication is vital to project success.
Client Absence: If the Client fails to respond to the Artist’s inquiries for 30 consecutive days without prior notice,  the project will be considered “Abandoned.” At this point, the project is closed and funds paid to date are forfeited to cover the held studio time. Note: I will send at least two courtesy reminder emails before a project is marked as abandoned.

Artist Absence: The Artist commits to providing updates or communication at least once every 15 consecutive days. If the Artist exceeds this window without prior notice or extension, the Client has the right to request a status update or cancel the project for a refund of the current uncompleted milestone.

6. Usage Rights & Licensing
Personal Use: Unless a commercial agreement is signed, all commissioned work is for personal use only (social media avatars, personal printing, non-monetized streaming assets).Commercial Use: Commercial rights (merchandise, branding, advertising) for Art or Design are granted if a License Fee is paid in full via Steweird.com.

Artist Portfolio Rights: The Artist retains the right to display the artwork in portfolios, social media, and behind-the-scenes content to promote his studio. If the project requires an NDA or must remain a secret until a specific date, the Client must notify the Artist upfront so a confidentiality agreement can be arranged.

7. Dispute Resolution
Both parties agree to communicate openly and in good faith to resolve any project dissatisfaction. Initiating a forced chargeback via a payment processor without attempting a mutual resolution will result in the immediate revocation of all usage licenses, permanent blacklisting from future commissions, and a report filed with standard industry-protection registries..

8. Delivery & Physical Goods

  1. Digital-First Delivery: By default, all commissions are digital-only services. No physical items will be shipped unless a specific physical add-on (e.g., POD merchandise or Art Prints) is selected at checkout, or is explicitly defined in a Tier 2 Work Agreement or Tier 3 Commercial Contract.
  2. Third-Party Fulfillment: Physical products are produced and shipped via Third-Party Fulfillment Partners. While Steweird.com/Rayman ensures the quality of the digital source file, we are not directly responsible for shipping delays, carrier errors, or damages occurring during transit.
  3. Shipping Disputes: Any issues regarding physical merchandise must be reported within 7 days of the delivery date recorded by the carrier to facilitate a replacement claim with the fulfillment partner.
  4. Digital Fulfillment Finality: In “Hybrid” orders (Digital Art + Physical Product), the core service is considered delivered and non-refundable once the final digital files are sent, regardless of the shipping status of the physical add-on.
